There are currently nine programs available for nearly every age. All but one are free and two are women specific. Healthy communities take time to grow so our programs are progressively changing to serve Mānoa—watch for frequency of meeting and adjustments to program specifics.
Mothering and Movement are the focus for these two programs. MOPS (Mothers with Preschool Children) is an international program that brings women and resources together in a unique way. Ladies In Motion is a low to moderate impact cardiovascular and body weight exercise class.
Vegetarian cooking demos
Come watch, experience and taste the delights of vegetarian food preparation. The most flavorful foods come from plants. Join us for new twists on modern and traditional recipes; discover healthly vitality through cooking and eating.
Arts & Crafts & youth
A group activity comes in the form of singing—lend your voice with others to create something special. Another activity is a “Very Beginners” Crochet Class is being offered to make simple items as coasters and dishcloths. No experience nor supplies are needed. If youʻre beyond that level, join the Crocheting Class for more challegnes. Still another program involves families of children in grades 1-4. Here, a learn-by-doing approach brings variety and excitement to the young mind.
Table Tennis and Hanafuda are two community group-play activities that are timeless. These activities achieve relaxation from two different viewpoints: one actively moving in a standing position and one focused on beautiful picture cards in a seated position.
